Steve Harper, LMFT, CMHS
How are you feeling? I believe that each of us, as human beings, want to be good and are born so. Experiencing unpleasant emotions can come from how we process information based on our life struggles and beliefs about ourselves. Whatever problem or situation has you seeking support; I believe you are so much more than your problems and see the people I work with as a whole person capable of healthy relationships, growth and achieving personal goals and dreams.
About Me
I earned a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology from Antioch University in Seattle, specializing in marriage and family therapy. I participate in ongoing training on topics that are of interest to me and that will help me help you.
I have over 8 years of experience supporting clients with Depression, Attachment Issues, Mood Instability, Anxiety, Internalized Oppression, Self-Image/Self Esteem, Stress Management, Parenting and Family Concerns, Trauma, and Couples Counseling.
Approach to Counseling
Together we can work on strengthening self-acceptance, independence and inner freedom and lessening feelings of hurt, anger and sadness in an atmosphere of safety and trust. We can help heal wounds and uncover potential that is preventing you from living life to the fullest and feel better.
In order to get to know one another prior to a full-length session, I offer complimentary 20-minute consultation appointments, either in person or by phone. This time with you will help me understand what type of support you are seeking, and it will help you decide if I am the right therapist for you.
I look forward to talking with you!
